Submissions

Want to submit a thing? Awesome! We have a few guidelines to help you hone your submission into something that maximises its potential for CALC Quarterly:

  1. We accept all forms of works (written, visual, video, audio etc.), we just need it in a format that we can host directly.
  2. Try to keep written work to no more than 1500 words.
  3. Try to keep any video or audio content to no more than an hour in length.
  4. If you are using images, please ensure they have alt text.
  5. Ask a friend to review your submission to make sure it makes sense to someone who isn’t you – we might have to ask you clarification questions otherwise.
  6. Ensure you cite your references clearly and give credit where it is due.
  7. Triple check that you are writing about something that can be shared publicly and isn’t sensitive (commercially or personally).
  8. If possible, all submissions should be in the English language but reach out if you work better in a different language.

We’re experimenting with CALC Quarterly so are open to feedback, suggestions, folks volunteering their time, and much more. So let’s make this a conversation!

All submissions and queries can be sent to George Cronin (the editor) at: calcquarterly[at]gmail.com.
